Penrhyn go top despite draw

Penrhyndeudraeth are the new league leaders but were made to fight all the way to preserve their unbeaten record as they were held to a 3-3 draw at home to Llanllyfni who themselves have stretched their unbeaten record to 5 matches. Iddon Price gave Penrhyn a 17th minute lead only for Arron Hughes to level from the penalty spot for Llanllyfni mid way through the half. Matthew Hughes then missed a penalty for the home side but quickly atoned for this error to restore the lead after 32 minutes. Cynan Davies then levelled the match again with the last kick of the first half. With time running out Huw Rumble gave the visitors a 3-2 lead on 86 minutes and this looked certain to have clinched the points and an unexpected win, however, Penrhyn had other ideas and secured a share of the points when Liam Watson netted in the 87th minute.

CPD Bro Goronwy's dismal record in Gwynedd League cup competitions continued as they went down at CPD Bontnewydd. Bro started poorly when Corey Williams gave the hosts a first minute lead that remained the difference at the break. Nathan Williams then doubled the advantage on 52 minutes before Alex Jones reduced the arrears on the hour. Corey Williams restored the two goal cushion with twenty minutes remaining before Patrick Roberts made it 3-2 in the 86th minute to set up a nail biting finale. Trearddur Bay gained revenge for their Cup exit the week previously as they dumped Beaumaris Town out of the competition but had to come from 3-2 behind at the interval to book their place in the last eight. Ian Williams (2), Joe Caven, Mathew Doutch and Asa Thomas were all on target for the Bay with Darren Ishmael bagging a hat-trick for Beaumaris and still ended on the losing side.
