Llanystumdwy open up gap at the top

Llanystumdwy has restored its lead at the top of the Gwynedd League to four points following their latest 3-2 win at home to Llanfairfechan Town. Similar to the previous week, Llan were off to a flyer and were two up inside the opening ten minutes via Kyle Williams and Ben Roberts. But Llanfair are made of stronger stuff this time around and two goals from Luke Williams after 32 and 39 minutes squared matters. However, Roberts scored the crucial fifth goal of the encounter to book all three points for the Eifionnydd side. There was another goal feast in both the other League matches. Bontnewydd were on the wrong end of another 5-4 verdict, this time against hosts Beaumaris Town. Darren Ishmael bagged a hat-trick with Paul Ainsworth and a Dean Redmayne 88th minute winner the Beaumaris scorer. Alun G Williams (2), Simon Kay and Steve Tindall replied for Bont. Trearddur Bay United scored three goals in as many minutes to see off Bangor City 4-2 at the Bay. Gareth W Roberts opened for Trearddur after 11 minutes only for Craig Whelan to level on 35 minutes. Ryan Booth (65), Barry Haigh (66) and Barry Lavelle (67) gave Trearddur clear daylight with Lance Williams pulling one back for bangor on 75 minutes.
