Beaumaris sneak up on top two

Beaumaris Town FC's recent improvement continued with another impressive 4-0 home win against Holyhead Town. After Shaun Monument had given Beaumaris a narrow one nil lead five minutes before the interval, the hosts went on to bag another three in the second period with strikes from Andy Clarke (68), Dean Redmond (73) and Owain Roberts (85).

Bontnewydd notched up their second point of the campaign with a 1-1 home draw against second placed Llannerchymedd. The home side looked to be on the verge of a shock victory when Gareth Griffiths netted in the 82nd minute. Llan were spared the blushes when Daniel Thomas scored five minutes later for a share of the spoils. There was also late drama when Waunfawr entertained Bangor University. Ioan Gwynedd had given the home side a one nil half time lead that lasted until the 73rd minute when Samuel Gibson levelled for the Students and when the same player scored again in the 89th minute, the visitors looked odds-on for the three points. But deep into stoppage time, Waun salvaged a draw courtesy of Gethin Phillips.

In the basement battle, Llanystumdwy edged out visitors Llanfairfechan Town with a 3-2 scoreline. Bradley Williams gave the home side the lead on the half hour mark that lasted barely a minute when Josh Summers levelled for Llanfairfechan. Eight minutes later Summers scored again to give them their half time advantage. But two goals from Sion Parry (60) and Robat Rhys Griffiths (65) gave the hosts a much needed morale boosting win.
