Waun secure second spot

In their first season in the Gwynedd League, CPD Waunfawr secured runners up position over the weekend after thumping visitors Bethel 6-1 at Coed Helen thanks in the main to a hat-trick from Sion Eifion Jones with Ioan Gwynedd chipping in with a brace.

In the return match this evening, Bethel restored some pride with a 1-1 draw at Coed Bolyn. Lee Allen gave Bethel the lead on 21 minutes but Waunfawr salvaged a point with Ioan Gwynedd levelling, seven minutes before the break.
