Trearddur Bay through to Cwpan Gwynedd Final

Trearddur Bay remain on course for a League & Cup double.

Leagues leaders Trearddur Bay remain on course for a League and Cup double after booking their ticket in this season's Cwpan Gwynedd competition sponsored by Meditel and thus atone for the Easter Monday's reversal at Llanllyfni in the Safeflue Shield. The Islanders will now wait to see the outcome of the other semi final between Holyhead Hotspur and Llanystumdwy once the Management Committee has dealt with the withdrawal of Llanfairfechan Town from the competition. Asa Thomas gave the Islanders a perfect start with the ninth minute opener in yesterday' semi final tie with Arron Hughes levelling for the hosts ten minutes later. With extra time again looming, Barry Haigh netted the all important winner with twenty minutes remaining.

In the League, both Paul Roberts and Meirion Pritchard bagged hat-tricks in their 7-1 thrashing of bottom side CPD Bethel and reigning champions Bro Goronwy were held to a rare goal less draw at Holyhead Town that all but sees them relinquish their crown
