There were mixed fortunes for Gwynedd League clubs in Round Two of the FAW Trophy over the weekend. Trearddur Bay snatched a dramatic 3-2 penalty shoot out to overcome FC Cefn after the sides had been level 2-2 after extra time. Trearddur's hero was Barry Haigh who netted after 72 and 118 minutes to take the tie to the dreaded spot kicks. Joining them in Round 3 will be Llanllyfni who ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at Penmaenmawr Phoenix thanks to an Arron Hughes double and Terry Watkinson.
There was no such luck for Penrhyndeudraeth and Bro Goronwy who both suffered five nil defeats against Llanrug United and 2010 winners Glan Conwy respectively.
