Llanllyfni & Penrhyndeudraeth progress to Bob Owen Memorial Final

Penrhyndeudraeth thrashed visitors Bangor City 7-1 to convincingly book their ticket through to their Second final of the season. The title pretenders rattled in six goals without reply in the second half as both sides were even at 1-1 at the break. Carwyn Price opened the scoring for the home side on 24 minutes but Lance Williams levelled for the Citizens nine minutes later. Iwan Thomas restored Penrhyn's lead a minute after the restart and floodgates then opened with Mark Cook helping himself to a hat-trick with strikes in the 54th, 63rd & 65th minutes with Tom Hughes celebrating his return with the final two goals in the closing five minutes.

Penrhyn's opponents in the Final will be Llanllyfni in a repeat of the Gwynedd Safeflue showpiece. Llyfni had to come from behind three times against Bangor University to eventually win 4-3 in a thriller. The Students marksmen were Mike Cronshaw (8), Callum Freeman (51) and David Burrows (70). Tom Williams, an Arron Hughes double on 60 & 77 minutes and Huw Rumble on 73 minutes secured Llanllyfni's showdown.

In the League, Bethel recorded their first win of the season at the 21st attempt against local rivals CPD Bontnewydd winning by 3 goals to 2 thanks to goals from Ian Jones (53) and Ricky Broadley on 71 & 86 minutes. Bont had been two up earlier on in the match thanks to Gareth Griffiths and Stephen Jones. Llanfairfechan Town ended their campaign in disappointing style losing 2-4 at home to Holyhead Town who now move up to fourth place in the table. Luke Williams scored twice for the hosts but Holyhead replied through Luke Miles, Jason Owen and a Craig Moore double.
