Llanllyfni fly the Gwynedd Flag in the Welsh Cup

By Alun Foulkes

Mixed fortunes for Gwynedd League clubs in Welsh Cup.

CPD Llanllyfni remain the Gwynedd Football League's sole survivors in this season's Welsh Cup after their shock 2-1 home win against Welsh Alliance Division One side, Barmouth & Dyffryn United FC at their Recreational Ground. The Jones boys, Carl & Dylan were Llan's heroes with Carl netting a well executed free kick three minutes before the break and Dylan netting the all decisive second in the 87th minute. CPD Bethel went down 2-1 at home in their local derby against Llanrug United FC and Trearddur Bay United FC came home empty handed from the Wrexham area having been beaten 3-2 by hosts Coedpoeth FC.
