Comfortable home wins for Holyhead Hotspur & Llanfairfechan

Both Holyhead Hotspur and Llanfairfechan Town booked their place in the last eight of the Gwynedd Safeflue Shield with comfortable home wins against Llanystumdwy and Bontnewydd respectively.

Holyhead were made to wait until the second half to bag all their goals in a 6-1 rout against Llanystumdwy courtesy of Luke John Roberts, Ryan Jones, Dan Connolly, Luke Michael Roberts and a brace from Jay Gibbs (pictured).

A hat-trick from Llanfairfechan's Curtis Murray was the highlight in their 5-0 home romp against Bontnewydd with Rory O'Hagan and Billy Osbourne also on the score sheet.

The second round clash between Waunfawr and Llannerch-y-medd fell victim to a waterlogged pitch.
