Bontnewydd came from behind with two second half goals in three minutes courtesy of Morgan Roberts (64) and Gavin Jennings (67) after Mabon Huws (42) had given Celts the lead just before the break.
Gwynedd League new boys Holyhead Town are also in the hat for the next round with Ryan Lees (32) and Jodie Murphy (51) on the score sheet before Andy Wannop pulled one back with 20 minutes remaining for the Tigers.
