Football returned to the Gwynedd Football League properly for the first time in 2016 with Llanystumdwy, Aberffraw, Menai Bridge Tigers (holders and pictured) and Y Felinheli all making progress in the Cwpan Gwynedd sponsored by Meditel at the expense of Talysarn Celts, Bontnewydd, Cemaes Bay and Bodedern Athletic respectively.
In the League, leaders Waunfawr were beaten 1-0 at Nefyn.
