CPD Llanllyfni and Trearddur Bay United will meet each other twice in two semi-finals within a space of five days in the coming week after today's Cwpan Gwynedd Round 2 matches sponsored by Meditel. The two sides will lock horns on Easter Monday in the Gwynedd Safeflue Semi-Final and this will be followed by the next chapter in the Cwpan Gwynedd semi next Saturday with both matches to be staged at Llanllyfni. Llanllyfni wasted no time in despatching ten man CPD Bontnewydd with a thumping 6-0 scoreline with Arron Hughes and Will Wright both bagging braces with Aled Jones and Callum Evanson also on the scoresheet.

In contrast, there were no goals between title rivals Trearddur Bay and CPD Penrhyndeudraeth in front of a crowd of 150 - even the extra half hour could not separate both sides, however, the home side prevailed in the spot kick winning 5-4 to book their semi-final passage.
