Bro remain a point clear

Champions, Bro Goronwy remain a point clear at the top of the League following their 4-2 home win over fellow Anglesey opposition, Beaumaris Town FC. Alex Jones then made it 3-1 shortly after the break and despite Ishmael reducing the arrears for a second time, leading marksman Steve Jones grabbed the vital fourth for Bro on 67 minutes. Hot on their heels are Trearddur Bay who came from behind at home to beat visitors Llanllyfni with a 4-1 scoreline. But the second period belonged to the Bay with Martin Mclymont levelling after 48 minutes. A Steve Tindall hat-trick was not enough for Bontnewydd as they slumped to a 5-4 defeat at hosts Llanystumdwy. Paul Roberts (2), Meirion Pritchard, Carl Threadgill and carwyn Edwards were all on target for Llanystumdwy with Aled Steele keeping Bont in the contest with a goal in the 72nd minute to set up a nail biting climax to this nine goal thriller. In the other match played, Holyhead Hotspur beat winless Bethel by a 7-1 margin at their New Oval ground. Both Gareth Dolben and Curt Williams scored twice for the Harbourmen with Brian Roberts, Christian Dunn and Anthony Parry also on the scoresheet. Osian Kingston netted a late consolation for Bethel.
