Bay beaten at home by neighbours & reigning champions thumped at Llanllyfni

Early morning league leaders Trearddur Bay were stung by fierce neighbours Holyhead Town when they suffered only their second home league defeat of the season, going down 1-3. Barry Haigh had given the Bay an early 10th minute lead but Town had other ideas and replied with a Luke Myles double on 57 & 88 minutes with Steve Driedyk their other marksman. Reigning Champions, Bro Goronwy, suffered a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of the much improved Llanllyfni and their leading goalscorer Arron Hughes led the way with another brace on 28 & 55 minutes. Arron Griffiths, Sam Cartwright and Huw Rumble were also on the scoresheet, all with second half goals. Beaumaris Town went goal crazy at their Beach Road ground after thrashing Llanfairfechan Town 10-2 to record the highest League win of the season. Darren Ishmael scored half of Beaumaris' tally with Paul Ainsworth, Jason Scott, Nathan Davies, Nathan Roberts and Chris Rowlands also on target. Josh Summers and Curtis Murray replied for the out of sorts Llanfair. Penrhyndeudraeth remain unbeaten after disposing of basement side Bethel with a 6-0 scoreline. Mark Cook scored a hat-trick for Penrhyn with Matthew Hughes, John O'Donovan and Adam Griffith completing the rout. Bangor University returned to action after their Christmas break and were beaten 3-1 at Holyhead Hotspur for whom Gareth Dolben, Luke Roberts and a Jason Owen penalty secured the points for the Harbourmen. Dave Burrough replied for the Students on the brink of half time.
