Champions in 2011, Bro Goronwy began the new season in tremendous style thumping visitors Llanfairfechan Town in an 8-2 romp. Both Sion Pritchard and Andy Williams scored twice for the hosts who also had Callum Davidson, John Littlemore, Alex Jones and Pat Roberts on the scoresheet. David Hurdman and Josh Summers replied for a shell shocked Llanfair. Last season's runners-up, Trearddur Bay were also off to a good start with a 4-0 home win against Bontnewydd thanks to a brace from Martin McClymont with Ian Williams and Antony Parry also on target. A 32nd minute goal from Daniel Boyle was enough for Holyhead Hotspur in their 1-0 win at Llanllyfni. New boys Llanerchymedd are also off the mark with a 2-1 home win against Beaumaris Town. Owain Roberts gave the visitors the lead on 40 minutes but this was short lived when Llan levelled a minute later before Mathew Jones (pictured) netted the winner midway through the second period.
