Llan win big Island derby

Llannerch-y-medd have taken over top spot in the League on the strength of their 2-1 away win over Holyhead Hotspur yesterday afternoon. Shaun Jenkins gave the visitors an early first half lead and this was doubled on 75 minutes via Ryan Jones. His namesake from Hotspur pulled one back five minutes later but proved too late to salavage a point.

A Wyn Morris srike on 85 minutes was the only goal of the game in Mynydd Llandegai's tight home encounter with fellow title hopefuls Bangor University.

Rees Roberts was the hat-trick hero for Pentraeth in their narrow 3-2 home win over basement side Llanllyfi with Carl Jones and Sion Rhys Jones responding for the visitors.

Llanystumdwy and Llanfairfechan were involved in a nine goal thriller on the Lleyn peninsula and unusually and remarkably featured three hat-tricks. Both Mark Godfrey and Bradley Williams achieved the feat for the home side and Billy Jo Osbourne matched this for Llanfairfechan but still ended on the losing side.
