Holyhead & Penrhyndeudraeth saga.

There has been a lot of speculation of the last couple of weeks regarding the outcome, future membership and participation of Holyhead Town FC and CPD Penrhyndeudraeth in the Gwynedd Football League for Season 2011-2012.

Paperwork has been received over the weekend to confirm that both the Caernarfon & District & Anglesey Football Leagues have appealed to the FAW against the latest decision that was made to allow both clubs to take their place in the Gwynedd Football League for the coming season and that this appeal will be heard in Llandrindod Wells on Thursday, 1st September 2011. Until then, both clubs' fixtures have been suspended and that all players' registration and transfers of both these clubs will be dealt with by the FAW.

In the meantime, both clubs have been formally accepted by all member clubs into the League based on the last written decision that the League has received pending the outcome of the appeal and that they have been included in all the League's domestic cup draws. Should the decision go against this League, then those clubs who have been drawn against both clubs will receive a bye as agreed by all member clubs at the last Club meeting.

Once and until a ruling has been made, a further update with a full background and this League's version of events will be provided.
