after extra time and penalties against title rivals Bodedern Athletic.

but now all the roads lead and eyes will again turn to the next encounter between these two title contenders who go head to head this coming Saturday in the showdown that will have a massive bearing on the outcome of the championship - ko at Bontnewydd is at 2:30pm.

Neither side could be separated during normal and extra time in last nights gripping semi final encounter in the Gwynedd Safeflue Shield with 2-2 being the final score after 120 minutes, however, it was the home side that held their nerve the better to edge out 5-3 on penalties.

It took 70 minutes for the deadlock to be broken when Dan Evans put the home side in front and the Anglesey visitors levelled 3 minutes later courtesy of Casey Boylan.

With 20 of the 30 extra time minutes played, Craig Moore (last week's Cup Final hero), edged Bodedern in front and it looked seemingly that they were on their way to another final before Dan Evans bagged his and Bontnewydd's second with four minutes left on the clock.

Bontnewydd will now play holders Llanystumdwy in the Final to be played at Nantlle Vale FC, Friday, 19th May 2017, kick off 6:30pm.
